Paul Prudence,
HOLO Stratigraphy (2025)
A structuralist index that distills a decade of art, science, technology, and culture into concrete poetry:
Over the last ten years or so, HOLO covered the emergence of new modes of creative practice, the rise and fall of new technologies, and a world jolted by disruptions. This year, British artist and writer Paul Prudence revisits our archive, to help us reflect and come to terms with history. A keen observer with an eye for patterns, Paul descends deep into HOLO’s editorial strata, searching for critical moments, ruptures, gems, and shifts. Along the way, he documents his findings as concrete poetry, lovingly typed on his trusted 1950 Olivetti.
- Paul Prudence’s HOLO Stratigraphy will be issued as a limited artist edition (A4 publication + print) and mailed to all HOLO supporters in late summer.
