MIT Museum Show Probes the Science of Sleep
Part of the MIT Museum’s TIME thematic season, “Lighten Up! On Biology and Time” explores circadian rhythms through immersive installations in Cambridge (US). James Carpenter, Liliane Lijn, Helga Schmid, and others, probe biological clocks, sleep, and light’s role in health. Originally organized by EPFL Pavilions, the show features Carsten Höller’s Hotel Room #2: Communal Dreams (2025)—created with Adam Haar Horowitz and Seth Riskin—which transforms sleep into a collective experience.
