    Q: What does the HOLO Reader account offer?

    A: For $40 USD a year, you’ll get access to everything published on this website (and the HOLO archives) for a year. For $75 you’ll get the previous online access and the yearly collector’s edition. See the Reader Account page for further details.

    Q: I registered but can’t log in. Help!

    A: Please check your spam folder for an email from us asking you to ‘Complete your Reader Account registration.’ This is required to set up a username and password. If you haven’t received the email, please contact us by using the form on the left.


    Q: I just placed an order, how long will it take to arrive?

    A: Orders will be mailed within a week of being placed from our distribution hub in Berlin. Post-pandemic shipping within the EU takes 1-2 weeks, orders to North America take 2-4 weeks, and shipping to the rest of the world can take 2-6 weeks.

    Q: Can I get a tracking number?

    A: Most items are shipped via Deutsche Post Priority and this service does not provide tracking numbers. If trackable shipping is available for an item, it’ll show as an option during checkout.

    Q: I moved recently, how can I update the mailing address you have on file?

    A: To update your address, please login to the site, click on ‘account’ in the main menu, and then update your address.

    Q: Why haven’t I received the copy of HOLO 3 that I pre-ordered?

    A: That’s one of two issues: if you have a Reader Account set up on the site, login and then navigate to and confirm your address. Due to the high cost of international shipping, we require address confirmation before we ship.

    Alternatively, If you had a legacy HOLO 2 & 3 subscription but have never logged into this site, we need you to activate your account. Once you’ve done that, login and then navigate to and confirm your address.

    Once you have confirmed your address, we’ll get your copy of HOLO 3 in the mail within a week.


    Q: I want to send you a link to my artwork, details about my conference or exhibition, or have a great story idea for you—can I share this info with you?

    A: Yes! By all means, share your stuff; we can’t promise that we’ll write about it though. Please get in touch via the contact form and select ‘Submission’ as a subject. Due to the large volume of emails we receive, please note that we cannot reply to all submissions.


    Q: I am part of a cultural organization or initiative relevant to HOLO, how can we work with you?

    A: We work with partners in a variety of ways—from curation and cultural production to research, editorial development, and communications. For example, one of our latest collaborative formats are Dossiers, dedicated folios that augment and complement exhibitions, residencies, conferences, and educational initiatives. Our initiatives are developed in close collaboration with our partners, they open up temporally and geographically specific activities to a global audience and amplify their impact.     Q: Do any book and magazine shops carry HOLO magazine?

    A: HOLO 3 will be available at select global stockists—a list of partnering stores will be published on this site.

    Q: Can I stock HOLO or one of your shop items in my store?

    A: HOLO is available for stockists at a reseller discount with a minimum order of five magazines (shipping not included). Arrangements can be made for other items, on a case-by-case basis. Please get in touch via the contact form and select “Stockist” as a subject.

    Q: What is your privacy policy for this site?

    A: We use cookies to optimize site performance and enable features such as the night mode, we do not track non-logged in users or allow third parties (e.g. Google, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) to do so, we do not use Google Analytics, and we will not sell or share your data with any third parties. For our shop: we use the order information that we collect to fulfill any orders placed through the site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we use this order information to: communicate with you; screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; and when in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information relating to our products or services. 

    Q: I would like to delete my account. How do I do this?

    A: Please get in touch with us using the contact form here. We will immediately remove your account and all associated data.
