National Theatre amongst a broader backlash against the arts. Finance Minister Trygve Slagsvold Vedum recently slashed funding for the 125-year-old Oslo theatre from €900 million to €300 million,
saying “we don’t need a Rolls-Royce when a Volvo will do.”
