Curator Tina Rivers Ryan Fights Historical Amnesia with “Difference Machines”

– Art historian Tina Rivers Ryan, on fighting “historical amnesia” with “Difference Machines: Technology & Identity in Contemporary Art,” a major survey she curated at the Buffalo AKG Art Museum. “We’re trying to help people understand that the production of difference is intrinsic to computation,” Ryan states. “Where do we go from here?”
