“Remember Tomorrow: A Telidon Story” Revives Lost Media Art Histories
Remember Tomorrow: A Telidon Story documents an overlooked corner of media art history. Spearheaded by curator Shauna Jean Doherty, preservationist John Durno, and InterAccess, the archive presents 1980s videotex artworks by Paul Petro, Geoffrey Shea, Nell Tenhaaf, and 12 other artists. The site charts the history of Telidon, the underlying graphical computer network prototype funded by the Canadian government between 1978-85, and reveals how artists experimented with this early networked communication technology.
